It's getting late and I know you're tired
So I won't keep you awake with my stories from the day
But you say you can't sleep without them
So I go ahead and end with you asleep in my lap

I don't know why you care so much about me but I want you to know that I care about you too

I want you to know that even though it's getting late
I'm not too tired to hear how your day went
In fact I'd love to stay up all night with you
Just as long as we're together

As I kiss you goodnight you ask for another
As I move in for the kiss I feel the love in your lips
I can't help but kiss you all night long
And show you the greatest sign of my love

And as you're pressed up against me I can hear your heart beating with love for me

It's getting late you say to me
But I don't have to work in the morning
So we stay up all night showing our love for each other
